• Malcolm Wilde

    Malcolm is the Scottish GM for Nagel-Langdons, part of the German Nagel-Group specialising in temperature controlled food logistics. A member of the SFTA Committee since 2009, Malcolm has regular contact with many existing member companies and is well placed to identify and promote networking opportunities across industry sectors.

    Julie is an Associate at law firm Maclay Murray & Spens where she advises clients on a wide range of commercial contract, intellectual property and data protection issues. Her work involves advising on trade marks, websites, product labelling and branding and domain names.

  • Mari McTear

    Mari has worked within the food industry for over 15 years and began as Secretary of the SFTA in 1994. She is the main contact for the Association and maintains it diary, arranges events and looks after the membership.

  • Calum Morrison

    Calum has a wealth of experience in FMCG, having started work at GlaxoSmithKline and United Biscuits. Over the past decade, he has been heavily involved in the dairy industry, working at both Lactalis and First Milk, before joining 2 Sisters Food Group as their Sales Director for Scotland.

  • Barry Cuthbertson

    Barry has been in the Dairy Industry since 1988 when he joined the family business in Glasgow. He joined Barclay’s Dairy as Operations Director in 1995, he then operated two Petrol Stations for four years before returning solely to Milk but bringing retail experience. He Joined Robert Wiseman Dairies in 2004 to this current day.

  • Wallace McGown

    Wallace works in the Sales department at Muller, having worked in the diary industry all his life from delivering milk at the age of 13. Born in Glasgow, Wallace grew up in Argyllshire, before moving to Clackmannanshire.

  • Louise Harley

    Louise has more than 25 years experience working in events, marketing, PR and communications for many sectors, including food and drink. She provides marketing and PR support to a number of JFK Partnership clients, including Hamlyns of Scotland, for whom she manages a wide-ranging marketing, social media and events programme. Her early career was in events and corporate PR with Scottish & Newcastle.

    Lee Ann is Managing Partner at Optimum PPS who specialise in delivering system implementations and business change projects in the manufacturing and distribution sectors, including food and drink.

  • Colin Thwaites

    Originally from an aquaculture background, Colin has developed commercial FMCG experience in the dairy and soft drinks sectors at Lactalis and innocent. More recently, he has founded the start-up FairSquared, working to help suppliers find new markets

  • Stephen Vassie

    Stephen has 27 years’ experience is the food industry, focussing mainly on Pies and Pastry. He is currently in his 12th year as National Account Manager at Bells Food Group, Scotland’s brand leader in pies and pastry products.

  • Alastair Rew

    Having graduated from Glasgow University, Alastair joined the well known and respected Glasgow wholesaler, Young & McMillan Ltd. For the following 20 years he progressed from field sales to junior management to Senior Purchasing Manager. A move to Pacchini Oil followed. Initially in a sales position but again moved to purchasing and ultimately Purchasing Director.

  • Len Monaghan

    Len’s career started in the Bacon Trade at Denny’s Bacon in Glasgow, prior to moving to D.A.P./Ess Food as Promotions Rep for Danish Bacon Products. A few years later, he joined Viskase Food Casings, responsible for Sales in Scotland, to sausage and cooked meat manufacturers, and bacon and meat processors.

    Alison is a Partner at law firm Maclay Murray and Spens LLP where she specialises in intellectual property law including laws relating to trade marks, branding, websites and domain names. She is active in the Food and Drink Sector and regularly advises clients on legal issues impacting on the Food and Drink Sector.
